Fantastic efforts and some great results in the RLSS Southern regional lifesaving competition on 7th October 2023 in Dorchester. 12 members from RLSS Poole represented the club in the competition.
We had Emma and Tom winning the Ladies and Mens individuals, with Ethan and Connor victorious in the 17-19 Open pairs as well as Tim coming top in the 50-59 Open
This means we have 5 members through to represent the RLSS_UK Southern region at the Nationals in Leeds next month on the 4th November 2023.
Furthermore, Sammy and Felix finished runners up in the 12-14 open pairs, along with Riley and Sam in the 15-17 open, and just missing out on a podium finish, Ellen and Lola finishing 4th in the 12-14 girls pairs.
They all did the club proud, and we are extremely proud of all of those who stepped up and took part in the following four events, many of them for the first time.
- Unknown Life Support Initiative Test
- Unknown Aquatic Initiative test
- Line Throw
- Swim and Tow
Special mention also to Emma Heckford who was reserve for the girls, and also did a great job as a casualty.
Other casualty volunteers were Tim and Emma Travers, and Darren Morton, so big thanks to them
