The club was recently awarded a government grant of £7000.00 to be used to purchase new Dry Suits and Safety Helmets for use with our Rescue Boat IRB Legacy.
The cheque was presented by the government minister The Right Honourable, Mr John Hayes, Minister of Transport at a ceremony which was very kindly hosted by our friends and supporters The Royal Motor Yacht Club, following an inspection of the clubs rescue boat.
The grant was presented to the clubs Chairman Brian Pemberton and supported by Malcolm Acreman, Stuart Archer, David Ayres, and Mike Darkin.
